Functional Strength
Unlike most gym exercises that use 1 or 2 muscle groups at a time, BJJ requires your body to move in a variety of planes of motion and will develop many muscle groups at once while helping to build your core and stabilization strength.
Heart Health
BJJ raining will increase your stamina, endurance and overall cardio health. The nature of the sport of BJJ will exercise both your heart and muscle groups since both are important aspects of BJJ success.
Flexibility
BJJ increases flexibility especially in the legs and core. Some submission holds require your legs to be flexible and over time, you will develop increased flexibility. Other positions require a lot of twisting motions which will help one’s core’s flexibility.
